Redefining What’s Possible for Women and Girls Together

We empower women and girls with the economic independence, knowledge, confidence, and solidarity needed to transform their futures and preserve our planet.

What makes us unique?

We listen to women. Our model is built in direct partnership with women at the grassroots level, centering their knowledge and lived experience to create effective, sustainable, and impactful programs.

We do not limit our focus - we address a broad range of interventions, depending on what the women identify as most important and relevant to their wellbeing.

We are lean and purpose oriented - every dollar is spent on the women and their opportunities and support goes directly to where it is needed most.

We focus on bringing women and girls TOGETHER rather than supporting individuals, because we know that the power of togetherness is the key to societal transformation.

We currently serve over 500 women and girls in 14 communities across Malawi and Mozambique, impacting thousands of lives, and transforming communities.

Our model is proven, locally adaptable, and ready to be shared, so that the power of women can be recognized and realized across the globe.

We Believe in Partnership Not Charity

For two decades, our founders witnessed traditional aid models fail.

We designed Women Together to be different.

Our Core Programs

Women in Business

We support grassroots entrepreneurs through skills training and capital, enabling them to launch cooperative businesses like pig farms, tailoring shops, and clean cookstove production and achieve financial independence within 4 years.

Since 2018, we have helped launch 35 women-led small businesses and 19 climate smart cooperative farms, training more than 350 women in business management and financial literacy.

Girls Growing Together

Through girls clubs and vocational training centers, we fight to keep girls in school, preserving their freedom and preventing early marriage. We support girls to grow their minds, bodies, support systems, and economic opportunities.

In 2024–2025, 235 girls are enrolled in afterschool and community clubs, 60 receive school fees and tutoring, and 24 young mothers are training in baking, tailoring, and digital skills.

Women and Environment

When women are empowered, the environment benefits. Our conservation programs have reached Mozambique and Zambia, creating dual benefits for women and the planet. In Malawi, women have produced more than 4,000 clean burning cookstoves, trained 197 others in alternative fuel production, and established 10 climate smart farms.

Women and Land

Stable access to land is crucial for women, providing economic independence and food security for their families. We work to put land into women’s hands and spread climate smart agricultural practices for the good of the land and the people.

"This group has brought unity among us. We have learned how to love and help one another, and at the end of the day, I look forward to seeing the women in the group."

Women Together In Their Own Words

“The men in our homes are now inspired and motivated to do greater things because they're like, “if we just stay at home, not doing anything, then definitely this woman is going to go ahead of me financially”. So, they're trying to keep up, which is good for our families too.”

“If we can be together then we can teach one another [the] things which we don’t know, and women can do it without men.”
